Mt Zion Registration Form

Conference rules and guidelines

Mt. Zion exists to provide a week of fellowship, Bible study, praise, encouragement, and spiritual growth in an environment that reflects our shared faith and values. These guidelines are intended to help preserve that atmosphere so everyone can benefit from the week together.

Fellowship

Mt. Zion operates exclusively under the Christadelphian Birmingham Amended Statement of Faith (BASF). The Memorial Meeting is intended for baptized believers who hold the beliefs and fellowship practices summarized in the BASF. We warmly welcome all who share this common faith and practice to participate with us! As an expression of the scriptural principles and atmosphere that we seek to uphold:
  • Sisters are asked to wear a head covering and a skirt or dress during classes and the Memorial Meeting.
  • Brothers are asked to dress modestly and respectfully throughout the week, particularly during arranged meetings and studies.
  • Brothers and sisters are encouraged to dress modestly and respectfully throughout the week, particularly during arranged meetings and studies.
  • Drugs and alcohol are not permitted anywhere on the camp property during the week — the only exception being the wine used during the Memorial Meeting.
  • We ask that noise be kept to a minimum during designated quiet hours, particularly around accommodation areas, to ensure everyone can rest and enjoy the week.
  • We ask that full cooperation be given to the committee and support staff at the conference.

We appreciate that there may be differing views regarding some of these guidelines and the importance placed upon them. We kindly ask, however, that all attendees respect and abide by them while at the conference. Attendance at Mt. Zion is considered an agreement to do so. Failure to abide by these guidelines may result in an attendee being asked to leave the conference.

Questions

If you have any concerns during the week, please speak with a member of the committee. We are here to help and want everyone to have an enjoyable and spiritually uplifting conference experience.

"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering (for he is faithful that promised), and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works; not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:23-25
